Garofalo's Dear Mario has been finally published by Edizioni Sinfonica. In the score's acknowledgements, the composer says: A musical edition is always the result of the cooperation of many people, the fruit of a synergy of various professional disciplines, without which, Dear Mario would not have seen the light of day. Composed in 2018, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, the piece was in fact revised in 2020 by Antonio Rugolo, to whom goes my total gratitude for having taken on the task with love, providing his advice and his untiring pursuit for technical and expressive perfection. I express my thanks to Edizioni Sinfonica, in the persons of Pino Amendola and the curator Bruno Giuffredi, for having maintained unwavering belief in this project. To Marco Caiazza goes all my recognition for his ready availability and dedication to providing the necessary support in the preparation of the audio master.
