Nadir Garofalo will be the first conductor debuting at the new Theatre "Fusco" in Taranto, following the inauguration ceremony of December, 30, 2018. «Il Risveglio del Fauno» («The awakening of the Faune») will be a tribute concert to Debussy. Nadir Garofalo will conduct the Orchestra Taras ensemble, with the participation of the dancers from Elisa Barucchieri's ResExtensa dance company. The event is part of the 75th concert season of Amici della Musica "A. Speranza". The high point of the show will be Debussy's Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune, in the 11-instruments version provided by Schönberg and his pupil Sachs. Moreover, for the first time in italy, it will be played on original instruments as a 1920s-era harmonium and some crotales. Then, there will be the première of Garofalo's Interlude dans le soir – d'après l'après-midi d'un faune, published by Da Vinci edition at the end of the past year.
